Multi Client Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant

Company Description: Preferred CFO is a local professional services firm that provides outsourced CFO, finance and accounting solutions. In providing CFO consulting, controller work, and basic accounting and bookkeeping functions, Preferred CFO focuses on giving management teams the information and support needed to make critical decisions.
Position will largely work remotely, but occasional in-person client meetings may be required.
Job Title: Multi-Client Bookkeeper
Job Duties:
Standard bookkeeping activities for various clients, such as:
o Invoicing, billing and accounts receivable
o Accounts payable
o Information entry into QuickBooks
Setting up and streamlining of electronic systems, processes, and services
Learn & utilize proprietary system to prepare and deliver financial statements, graphs, and reports for clients
Interface with clients and client vendors and customers to fulfill duties
Prepare informative graphs for client decision-makers
Anticipate client needs and continually look for ways to exceed client expectations
Assist in all other activities as required to fulfill client engagements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
Proficiency in Excel
Part-time to full-time availability
Strong desire for a diverse career in accounting and servicing small to medium-sized businesses in accounting, managing, finance and controller functions
Previous experience with QuickBooks required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
