As an experienced Sr.
Software Development Manager, you will lead multiple tech teams to deliver the global expansion of applications and services by building highly scalable distributed systems responsible for delivering translations with low latency and high quality.
Because you take pride in setting the standard for engineering excellence, you are a hands-on, pragmatic problem solver that easily balances trade-offs between competing interests.

The Ideal Candidate:
o Must be technically credible to lead multiple teams of world-class software engineers and technical program managers.
Must be able to make the right design decisions related to product features and technology choices on behalf of our customers.
o You will have written code for and architected highly scalable systems.
o Deep understanding of overall systems development life cycle including various methodologies (agile, waterfall, iterative)o Experienced in developing the long-term strategy for the translation service layers and translate that into an achievable roadmapo Experienced in building and managing teams that design and deliver scalable and extensible distributed systems to address complex business challenges.
o Passionate about understanding and serving customers with what they need while balancing against competing and conflicting demands.
o Understands how to scope and justify resources and budget needs to senior leaders and finance partners.

o Track record of developing engineers through various career stages and building high-performance teams.
Key job responsibilitiesYou are a manager of managers and senior SDEs/ PEs and the executive tech leader.
You manage multiple teams of Software Development Engineers.
You hire the right mix of SDEs to accomplish team goals.
You assess SDE performance and have experience managing both high and low performers.
You take effective action addressing employee concerns.
You define the strategic vision for your teams, partnering effectively with customers and stakeholders.
You enable your teams to establish a roadmap and successfully deliver software that executes that vision.
You are able to independently make short-term vs.
long-term decisions.
You define clear goals and objectives.
You make crisp decisions about what projects move forward and in what priority order.
You delegate appropriately, assigning the right level of tasks based on the strength and development objectives of the individuals on your team.
